The purpose of the research is to study the transformation processes of Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization relations, trends in the complex transition from cooperation to strategic partnership, the dynamics of the main parameters of interaction and prospects in the context of the new world order and threats to the European security system started in late February 2014.
The research methodology consists of a set of scientific principles, general scientific and special-historical methods, as well as interdisciplinary and comprehensive approaches to the historical discourse of Ukrainian-NATO relations based on the use of sources on this problem.
The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time in Ukrainian historiography the historical-political discourse of Ukraine-NATO relations in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war as a component of the general historical process of Euro-Atlantic integration is disturbed and objectively covered.
It is proved that the current relations of Ukraine with NATO, based on the adopted institutional and legal principles, have passed a difficult and contradictory path of modernization in the ascending trajectory of the Partnership for Peace, the North Atlantic Cooperation Council and the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council and reached a qualitatively new level on a special partnership between Ukraine and NATO, other forums of cooperation, in the format of which considerable experience has been accumulated in the transformation of relations to the legalization of the Euro-Atlantic course in the Constitution of Ukraine.
