The aim of the work is: to determine the general theoretical and methodological foundations of the regional development strategy on the principles of institutionalism and neo-institutionalism, substantiation of priority areas, tools and mechanisms for adjusting the strategy to adapt to an unstable environment.
The subject of research is the adaptation of theoretical and methodological foundations of neo-institutional theory to the formation of a methodology for effective management of sustainable development of territorial entities.
The object of study is the process of institutional transformation of economic theory, which is inherent in the period of change of basic, established scientific paradigms.
The work was performed in three stages.
