Because we must take into account that modern technologies and programs are not only a means of learning (translator of new knowledge), but also their generator, that is, technology acts as a subject of learning. This suggests that the education system is a combination of social, cultural, economic and technical systems that form an integrated system. This combines their characteristics and is divided into subsystems, which indicates its hierarchy (stepwise), in which case the subsystems are social, socio-cultural, socio-economic and technical systems and their characteristics. Criteria and results of qualitative analysis of such methods of control and assessment of knowledge as testing and control works are revealed; the results of a survey of teachers and students of technical universities to determine their attitude to tests and tests, as well as the dependence of the quality of knowledge assessment on control methods. Complex and integral quality criteria are defined and the scale of quality estimation is constructed. Respondents rate the quality of tests (0.72) and tests (0.69 points) almost equally highly, according to the integrated indicator. This proves that only control based on a combination of both methods can be qualitative, because they are interdependent and complementary. It is offered to carry out control in two stages: the 1st test, the 2nd control work with protection that will provide high-quality training, development of abstract-logical thinking, improvement of verbal skills and mental abilities of the student.
