Subject of research - questionnaires, norms №1, 2, 3, 10, 15, energy and nutritional value of food norms and rations; energy consumption of Q-course cadets, menu layouts, rations of NATO member armies, actual rations on Q-courses. Purpose: to substantiate the improvement of food standards for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with the actual energy consumption. Research methods - search and information, questionnaire, analytical, timing, calculation, statistical. Research results. It was found that 38.9% of respondents in the environmental protection zone noted positive changes in the organization of nutrition, 50.5% stressed the lack of changes, and 10.6% pointed to changes for the worse. The analysis of food norms of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is carried out. It was found that the norms of nutrition № 1, № 2, №3 are characterized by an increase in fat and carbohydrate load on the body compared to the norms of daily requirement. It is established that the diets of servicemen who are on the Q-course are unbalanced in terms of food composition. Insufficient consumption of eggs by cadets was revealed - by 62-95% depending on the season, fish - by 42-51%, dairy products - by 23-61%, greens and fruits in the summer by 20%. The highest average energy expenditures of the organism for I (6853 ± 737.3 kCal per day) and V phase of cadet selection (6277 ± 837.2 kCal per day) were determined. During phases II, III and IV, energy consumption was 4900 ± 250 kCal. The average energy consumption for the entire Q-course was 5545.8 kcal.
