Study object: state of domestic enclosure hunting sector in Ukraine and improvement of semi-free breeding methods for the most promising ungulate game species.
Aim of the study: development of a system of activities aimed at increasing a number of hoofed game animals by breeding, semi-free keeping and subsequent use to intensify the hunting industry in Ukraine.
Methodology of the study: field, theoretical and empirical methods using the analysis and compilation of practical experience, records, and statistical and legal documents.
Domestic and foreign experience of semi-free breeding of game animals in different natural areas was analyzed. The state of Ukrainian enclosure hunting sector was investigated, as well as the biological features of the most promising ungulate game species for semi-free keeping. Materials were prepared on preconditions, experience and prospects for enclosure game management
