Objects of research - limbs (legs, paws) of animals and their tracks; jaw apparatus (teeth) of animals and their traces; other parts of the animal's body (claws, horns, nose) and their traces; horseshoes and their tracks; brand on domestic animals, etc. The purpose of the work is to develop a methodology that sets out the general theoretical provisions of the study of animal tracks, formulates a list of issues addressed by forensic examination of animal tracks, developed a set of techniques and methods for studying these objects in solving diagnostic and identification problems, information on species and types of animal tracks. Novelty - for the first time a method was developed, which sets out a set of techniques and methods of diagnostic and identification studies of animal tracks. Effectiveness of implementation - the results of the study will allow to develop a scientific basis that could be used directly at the scene or in a forensic institution to determine the species (type) of the animal in its footsteps. Field of application - the results of research will be implemented in expert practice in the study of animal tracks.
