Electronic editorial system of the Ukrainian Journal of Physics (https://ujp.bitp.kiev.ua) is an online cloud service based on the world-renowned platform Open Journal Systems 3 (https://pkp.sfu.ca/ojs). It allows one to automate and to optimize the entire process of editorial work of the journal, starting from the stage of submission of a new article by the author and ending with the publication of journal issues online and indexing of articles in international databases. The electronic editorial system has been operating for three years and currently has almost 1800 users. As a result of the project, the electronic editorial system of the Ukrainian Journal of Physics was adapted to the requirements of the European Cloud of Open Science OpenAIRE (www.openaire.eu). To this end, the current version of Open Journal Systems was updated to the latest version 3.2.1, which includes the official OpenAIRE plugin for converting article metadata to OpenAIRE format (OAI-PMH). An application for the inclusion of the Ukrainian Physical Journal in the OpenAIRE database was submitted. Besides that, an additional plugin has been installed to synchronise article review data with the online service Publons (https://publons.com), which is part of the world-renowned scientometric platform Web of Science. The results of this work are important from the point of view of promoting the Ukrainian science in the European scientific environment, increasing the citation index of the journal, and promoting the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine among the European scientific community. The project used computer resources and the cloud environment of the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
