The object of the study – political corruption prevention in representative authorities. The subject of the study – mechanisms for preventing political corruption in the representative authorities of Ukraine. The aim of the study – theoretical and methodological substantiation of the mechanisms for preventing political corruption in the representative authorities of Ukraine and development of practical recommendations. For the first time: the cumulative interaction of mechanisms for preventing political corruption in representative bodies is substantiated, such as: political and legal mechanism; management mechanism; personnel mechanism; organizational mechanism and information and communication mechanism; proposed and verified tools for evaluating the activities of representative authorities. Has been improved: - perceptions of political corruption as abuse of power by subjects endowed with political power (political and state figures, public servants), aimed at achieving political goals (retaining and strengthening power, expanding power) and / or for the purpose of enrichment;
- understanding the essence of counter political corruption with due regard to the current stage of domestic statehood, the state of parliamentarism, representation activity and public administration.
