The purposes of the work are a development of theoretical provisions for assessing the effectiveness of the use of export-import potential of the enterprise; a consideration of the possibilities of using ordinary differential equations in the process of a cognition of the surrounding reality, getting acquainted with the methods of research of ordinary differential equations, a characteristic for the qualitative theory of differential equations; studying the asymptotic behavior of the first Eigen pair of the Neumann problem - eigenvalue with the maximum real part and the corresponding Eigen function, at large values of time. As a result of the studies carried out, the theoretical approach to assessing the effectiveness of the export-import potential of the enterprise, which ensures its objectivity, adequacy and reliability, has been improved; a mathematical model has been constructed and the problem of epidemic theory has been investigated with the help of mathematical tools; the averaged equations used to describe convection-diffusion processes in strongly inhomogeneous media have been obtained.
