Based on the quasiclassical extended Hutzwiller approach of the one-particle Green's function and the theory of periodic orbits, the density of levels and shell corrections to (free) energy and moments of inertia are described. The trace formulas in phase space for the density of levels and these shell corrections for any Hamiltonian are derived. In the mean field approximation the entropy shell corrections are derived as the sum of periodic orbits (PO), and with their help simple analytical expressions for the shell correction to the free energy of the nucleus and moments of inertia are obtained.
