Methods of preparation and sterilization of the culture medium, preparation of glassware and laboratory instruments for increasing the biomass production of tissue culture of Rauvolfia serpentina in the required amounts were developed and tested. For the first time, laboratory process procedures for obtaining dry biomass of R. serpentina tissue culture and extraction of alkaloids from dry biomass were developed. The vasodilatory and antiarrhythmic activities of the studied extracts of R. serpentina dry biomass were demonstrated. The extracts were shown to exhibit α-adrenoblocking effects.
