The aim of the study is to identify specific and influential elements in the formation of the musical language of Hasidic nign singing on Ukrainian ethnic lands in the system of coexistence and interaction of two cultures - Jewish and local Ukrainian, as well as the intersection of vocal and instrumental practices. The results of the second stage of the work cover the implementation of source research and the outline of previously unpublished documents containing musical transcriptions of Hasidic nigunim of various kinds; analysis of ensemble instrumental and vocal Ukrainian music's sources of study, which interacted with Hasidic vocal practice; transcription of musical samples of Belz dynasty nigunim from phono archive of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Based on the conducted source and comparative research, the levels of interaction between the Ukrainian and Jewish-Hasidic traditions in the fields of instrumental ensemble and vocal music were determined. The aspects and elements of musical language that most clearly testify to the coexistence and intersection of the studied traditions were identified and analyzed. In the process of comparative studies, for the first time in Ukrainian ethnomusicology, typological characteristics of Hasidic nigunim of the Belz dynasty were determined and a comprehensive comparative analysis of these and Ukrainian song compositions recorded in Belz region were conducted. In addition, the study of the musical language of the Belz dynasty nigunim was carried out not only on the basis of published works and published musical samples, but also self-made musical transcriptions of melodies from the archives of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
