Object of research - diagnosis and assessment of technical and operational condition of transport and engineering structures.
The purpose of the research is to create new and improve previously proposed methods and tools for non-destructive diagnostics, assessment and forecasting of both civil engineering objects (building structures, pavements, airfield surfaces) and military facilities, where there are questions of geometric, physical and mechanical parameters of construction, positioning and identification of subsurface inhomogeneities of both natural and artificial origin.
Research methods - theoretical, experimental, analytical research, methods of machine modeling and experimental planning.
The results of research are: in the study and development of methods of information processing in the diagnosis and assessment of engineering structures; substantiation of requirements, improvement of the antenna system of georadar, creation of the model of georadar equipment, its approbation; development of a system of quantitative assessment of the technical and operational condition of pavement, which involves the results of georadar diagnostics; experimental establishment of connection of physical-mechanical, geometrical parameters and parameters of inhomogeneity of designs with electrophysical parameters; in improved georadar data interpretation algorithms and software; in the development and testing of methods for diagnosing and interpreting the results of georadar sounding.
