On the basis of GEANT4 calculations, a converter for generating gamma quanta and neutrons using a high-energy electron beam at the output of the LUE-40 electron linac has been created. Using this device at the LUE-40, the optical elements of the new PLUME luminometer of the LHCb experiment were irradiated with doses close to the operating conditions of this system. The direct electron beam at the output of the LUE-40 was used to study changes in the transmission and reflection of various optical coatings in the absorbed dose range of 25–100 Mrad. The results obtained make it possible to select the material with the most optimal set of characteristics when choosing a reflective coating in the PLUME detector.
