The object of research is distance learning as a means of ensuring the availability and provision of quality education and educational services in educational institutions of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for improving distance learning in the educational process of training cadets and students of the Faculty of Combat Army Applications. Research methods - analysis of scientific and methodological literature on distance education; analysis of the best experience in the use of distance learning technologies in higher educational institutions of Ukraine and military educational institutions of foreign countries; modeling of processes of design, development and implementation of distance learning courses. The experience of using distance learning in leading educational institutions in Europe, North America and Asia is analyzed when working with research materials. An analysis of the domestic distance learning system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the training of military specialists and trends in its development. The organizational structure of the distance education system in Ukraine is presented. Perspective directions of development of the distance learning system for training of specialists of mechanized and tank units are determined. Based on the results of comparative analysis of the development of the domestic distance learning system with foreign education systems and experiments conducted at the departments of the Faculty of Combat Army Applications on the implementation of promising areas of distance learning for training mechanized and tank units developed recommendations for improving distance learning in the educational process of cadets and students.
