The aim of the work: is to increase the effectiveness of radiation therapy of non-small cell lung cancer and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck by radiomodification with cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors (celecoxibs) in combination with cytostatics (cisplatin) based on determining the mechanisms of their radiosensitizing action. Methods of research and equipment: clinical and instrumental, immunoassay, statistical; the immunoenzymometric analyzer Immunochem-2100, the linear accelerator Clinac-600. Theoretical and practical results: found that the use of RT in combination with cisplatin in patients with NSCLC regression rate reaches 83.3%, with radiation therapy with COX-2 inhibitor and cisplatin - 88.9%, positive response in patients with PRGS was in 75% of cases. Local radiation reactions and hematological toxicity do not exceed I-II degree. Radiation dermatitis and radioepitheliitis did not exceed grade III, hematological toxicity - grade II. It is proved that RT with the use of radiomodification in patients decreases in the level - VEGF, PGE-2 and COX-2 are more pronounced with combined action of radiation, cisplatin and ranselex, indicating increased antiangiogenic effect. Novelty: scientific data were obtained on the effect of various radiation therapy regimens in combination with COX-2 inhibitors, cisplatin and cisplatin and ranselex on the content of VEGF and COX-2 and PGE-2 in serum. Supplemented data on the effectiveness of RT in combination with cisplatin on the direct results of treatment in patients with NSCLC and PRGS. Effectiveness of implementation: increasing the duration of the relapse-free period and improving the quality of life of patients. Domain of usage: radiation oncology.
