Objective: To assess the impact of medical, biological, environmental risk factors on the functional state of the bronchopulmonary system and the activity of pro- and antioxidant systems in children - residents of radioactively contaminated areas with different content of incorporated 137Cs. Research methods: clinical, biochemical, instrumental, molecular genetic, statistical. Results and their novelty. A study of the ventilation capacity of the lungs showed. In the groups of RZT residents, a higher frequency of bronchial hyperreactivity was found in comparison with the control group. The results of the study of oxidative stress markers in children living with RDT indicate an increase in the content of LPO products in the serum, increased activity of antioxidants - catalase, ceruloplasmin with reduced superoxide dismutase activity. Adverse factors that increase the risk of developing bronchoobstructive disorders and the likelihood of their implementation in the form of bronchial asthma in children - residents of RHT have been identified. It is established that the leading role among them is played by hereditary predisposition to this disease, which is characterized by the presence in the family, especially among relatives of the first and second degree of kinship of people with asthma and people with various forms of allergies. On the part of the child, such negative factors were unfavorable conditions of fetal development, the presence of signs of exudative-catarrhal diathesis, manifestations of allergies and frequent respiratory diseases from the first months of life.
