Sustainable development of the national economy implies the ensuring a high level of national economic security, which is achieved by the audit and analytical activities aimed at forming an inclusive economy and effective public management. Financial analysts and auditors note that the information about the state and trends of the national economy development has unsatisfactory low level of quality and compliance with the objective reality, that is used by public administration bodies in making decisions to ensure the economic security of the state. This is confirmed by the prevalence of inaccurate reporting of public interest entities due to poor audit or failure to conduct an audit. This problem can be solved by realizing the national interests in audit based on the use of modern methods of economic analysis, which will help position the audit as an institution of public trust.
At the first stage, the essence and main components are investigated, and the criteria of economic security of the country are substantiated; the place and role of economic analysis and audit in the system of economic security of the state are determined; the praxeological principles of economic analysis and audit are substantiated; the state and trends of economic analysis and audit development in the European integration conditions are investigated.
