Ushynsky” popup.description2 The object of investigation: professional training of prospective philologists and English teachers in higher pedagogical educational establishment. The aim: conceptual renovation of the content of professionally oriented subjects for prospective English language and literature teacher training in line of cognitive-communicative paradigm. The methods of investigation: 1) theoretical: induction, deduction, analysis, synthesis, description, comparative method, simulation, introspection; 2) empirical: observation, questionnaire survey, interviewing, expert evaluation method, experimental teaching, content analysis, experiment, statistical methods; 3) special linguistic methods: method of sampling, lexico-semantic analysis, linguistic description, contextual analysis, comparative analysis.
