 The analysis of the basic scientific and theoretical sources and directions devoted to methodology of teaching of philosophy for pupils of establishments of general secondary education in the conditions of information and digital reality is carried out. Based on the collected material, a critical study of their heuristic potential was conducted. The importance of philosophical thinking for science and education is emphasized, in the sphere of which the originality of each scientific knowledge, which has been materialized in physics, mathematics, biology, history, etc., is revealed. The origins of this originality are in the organic connection with their study. In this context, education is a kind of "soul" of science in general and philosophy in particular.
