The research object is the specifics of the realization of the genetic potential of fruit plants for the accumulation of biologically active compounds depending on the growing conditions. The research work purpose is to create the concept of the optimal combination of less-common fruit and berry crops species and varieties with environmental conditions to obtain a stable harvest with the biologically active substances highest content and to provide antioxidant capacity, nutritional value, and therapeutic and dietary properties of plant products. The specificity of phenolic compounds (flavonoids, anthocyanins, phenolic acids) accumulation in the vegetative and generative organs of non-traditional local and introduced species of fruit plants has been studied. Uncommon species of rowan, garden irga and cherry are identified, which are characterized by a significant accumulation of secondary metabolites, high adaptive potential and can be recommended for cultivation in the steppe zone. Scientific results are characterized by novelty, have practical value and compliance with the world level of modern science in the field of agriculture and rational use of natural resources. The obtained data confirm the expediency and prospects of introducing uncommon fruit crops to enrich the range of plant products with a high content of biologically active compounds. Scientific results are the basis for the development of technological measures that will be competitive due to their low economic cost and ease of use.
