Objective - To study the effect of age and sex on the regenerative potential of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (MMSC) in experimental pathology of the nervous system and to assess the possibility of its increase by some cellular and endocrine factors. Models: toxic cupric model of demyelination, toxic model of parkinsonism, sciatic nerve injury, introduction of MMSC, melatonin, fibroblast growth factor (FGF-2). Methods: histological, cultural, biochemical, behavioral tests. Used equipment: CO2 incubator "Thermo", laminar biosafety box "Labconco", microscope, electronic scales "Kern & Sohn". Main results: Administration of toxins (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine) or cuprizone to mice leads to morphofunctional disorders of the central nervous system (CNS), the severity of which depends on their age and sex. The influence of the age of the donor and recipient on the therapeutic effect of MMSC of different tissue origin in mice with models of CNS pathology was established. The positive effect of the combination of MMSC and melatonin or FGF-2 on the behavior and oxidative stress factors of the brain of mice of different ages with the demyelination model was revealed. Gender features of the positive influence of MMSC on the structure of the injured nerve and the behavior of mice are shown.
