It was found that nephrotic proteinuria is associated with increased blood oxalic acid concentration and hyperoxaluria in patients with CKD I-III. Hight levels of oxalic and oxalic acid in patients with glomerulonephritis are factors in the rapid progression of the disease. It was found that the concentrations of both oxalic and uric acid in the blood of dialysis patients are directly associated with increased atherogenic fractions of lipoproteins and decreased HDL and is a risk factor for cardiovascular events. A new method for determining the oxalate degrading activity of the intestinal microbiota by redoximetric titration with KMnO4 has been proposed. The experiment showed that the formation of CKD with tubulointerstitial fibrosis in experimental animals is associated with decreased urinary oxalate excretion, decreased oxalate degrading bacteria of fecal intestinal microbiota and proven the feasibility of using a synbiotic.
