Biological features and introduction prospects of 188 indoor and outdoor ornamental plant taxa from the collections of the Botanical Garden of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv have been studied. Both vegetative and generative reproduction capacities of the plants have been analysed, with additional consideration of the effect of growth regulators. The methods of plant reproduction and cultivation as well as the means for preserving and protecting these plants have been developed. In addition, the responses of leaf morphological and anatomical traits of Rhododendron myrtifolium to climatic changes in the Ukrainian Carpathian highlands have been examined.
