For the first time in Ukraine, a comprehensive study of the place and role of Ukraine in the modern political world has been carried out. Alternatives and models of cooperation with Ukraine by probable partners in the context of new world realities are considered. In particular: the factors of reformatting the political world from unipolar to multipolar are systematized and theoretically generalized; the evolution of external influences on Ukraine during the period of state independence and the causal links of this phenomenon are analyzed; a comparative analysis of models of Ukraine's cooperation with global players and neighbors; the main achievements and miscalculations of strategic planning of Ukraine are determined, the key directions of further strategic planning and reform of the state development of Ukraine are substantiated; the vocation and responsibility of political elites in the context of the formation of state development strategies are revealed, the conditions for ensuring political consolidation as a necessary tool for implementing conceptual priorities at the level of socio-political practice are generalized.
