Theoretical generalizations are based on the analysis of various aspects of the status of general secondary ME in Ukraine, the existing scientific and methodological support of the educational process in mathematics in SS, the status of training ME students in higher education with the involvement of authorial packages of diagnostic tools. The development, further refinement (adjustment) of the concept and theoretical model of competency-oriented organization of ME at SS in class and extracurricular time are implemented with the use of innovative educational and methodological support, and taking into account the authorial concept of competence-based ME and the NUS conceptual provisions. Developing, testing and implementation of components of innovative educational and methodological support for teaching mathematics at school, strengthening its practical orientation (at the level of basic secondary education) and professional orientation (at the level of specialized secondary education), create conditions for personal potential of students in class and extracurricular time, are theoretically substantiated and practically verified in sync with the systemic, praxis-activity, person-oriented, competence, and semiotic approaches. Within the framework of the project, the concept of professional development of in-service mathematics teachers was adjusted in accordance with the NUS concept. The obtained theoretical and practical results can be used as an empirical basis for further theoretical generalizations in pedagogical psychology, age physiology and didactics of science education.
