Based on the analysis of automated control systems and foreign experience in the use of geographic information systems in ACS, as well as current guidelines for the development of information systems, identified the main tasks of geographic information subsystems ACS, operational and tactical requirements for geographic information subsystems data for geoinformation subsystems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, architecture of information and communication environment of geoinformation subsystems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the basic principles of interaction with thematic databases and other existing means of automation of geographic information subsystems geoinformation subsystems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recommendations for use. It is recommended to implement the obtained results in the educational process and use it by units and subdivisions of the Topographic Service in performing the relevant tasks.
Significance of work and conclusions. Analysis of the use of geographic information systems for the military shows the need to develop draft technical solutions to create a single technology for the preparation of geospatial data for use in geographic information subsystems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Widespread introduction of electronic computing in the management systems of the Armed Forces of the country necessitates the development of new approaches to automate the processing of geospatial information, improve the organization, technology and technical means of obtaining information about the place of processing and transmission to users.
