Object of research is processes of phase-structural transformations and wear resistance in the surface layer treated with combined heat treatment, which included modification of the surface of gray cast iron by pulse-plasma treatment and its subsequent melting by laser beam; optical and electronic properties of ultrafine compounds based on A2B6 compounds obtained by electric field deposition. The purpose of the work is determination of the influence of double heat treatment on phase-structural modification and wear resistance of gray cast iron surface; study of spectral-optical characteristics of ultrafine ZnS-Ag particles.
Research methods: photo-luminescent analysis, optical and electron microscopy, energy dispersion spectroscopy, microhardness measurements, electrical measurements, tribological tests. The microstructure and phase-structural composition of gray cast iron after double heat treatment are described, its wear resistance in untreated and treated state is determined. Luminescence spectra for ultrafine ZnS-Ag crystals for samples obtained by different physical methods are presented. The dependence of the band gap on the size of semiconductor crystals has been studied.
