 An analysis of the positions of Vasyl' Stus DonNU in three national (Consolidated rating of higher education institutions, Academic rating "Top-200 Ukraine", Rating according to Scopus indicators) and six international (Webometrics ranking of world universities and "4 International Colleges & Universities" rating) QS World University Rankings, QS EECA University Rankings, U-Multirank 2021, SCImago Institutions Rankings) in the rankings of higher education institutions in 2021. The dynamics of the university's positions in some ratings of higher education institutions are shown, and urgent tasks to strengthen positions according to the evaluation criteria of rating agencies are identified.
