The object of research is the formation and improvement of the urban environment and its objects by architectural and design means. The purpose of the work is to improve research methods and design of urban environment, exterior and interior spaces of modern buildings and structures in sustainable development to solve compositional, socio-functional, aesthetic and environmental problems in sustainable development and development of modern methods of architectural design education. Research methods - research is based on systemic, environmental, environmental, general scientific approaches. In the course of the research the methods of historical-architectural analysis, genetic analysis, typological analysis, field surveys, comparative analysis were applied.
Degree of implementation: the results of research into the theory and practice of architectural and urban design.
Methodological and methodical schemes of the decision of questions concerning problems of preservation and improvement of architecture of cities from positions of humanization of the environment, greening, harmonization and improvement of functional structure are offered. Recommendations for the use of research results: introduction of detailed planning of master plans of cities and their structural elements in projects, for dissertation researches of architectural and town-planning character, and also for scientific developments on the given subject.
