The prevalence, seasonal features, and immune status of the population of Lviv region with regard to such topical infections as whooping cough, leptospirosis, and Clostridium difficile infection have been clarified. Laboratory and instrumental methods of improving the diagnosis of these infections are proposed, as well as the diagnosis of complications of chronic hepatitis - hepatorenal syndrome and acute liver failure, the prediction of the severe course of leptospirosis and pertussis based on the indicators of the lymphocyte profile of peripheral blood, the assessment of cognitive function disorders in patients with chronic hepatitis C, etc. have been developed. Using the example of leptospirosis, the effectiveness of the nootropic drug Entrop for the correction of asthenic syndrome in infectious diseases has been proven.
