Today, it is the personnel who are most often the source of information security breaches, which are the result of unprofessionalism, negligence or deliberate destructive intentions of irresponsible or disgruntled employees. An effective means of preventing and counteracting internal threats to information security are personnel management technologies, which are a set of consistent actions, techniques, operations to manage the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of personnel to ensure the effective functioning and information security of the enterprise. The paper examines the role of personnel management in information security of the enterprise, defines and analyses the basic personnel management technologies that are recommended to be used in information security, in particular: search and selection of personnel involved in the information security; awareness and training on information security issues; monitoring and evaluation of information security professionals; motivation and formation of loyal personnel. Based on the results of the study, recommendations are developed regarding the implementation of the specified personnel technologies in the information security management of the enterprise.
