Fundamental scientific research «Linguistics of Intermediality and the Challenges of Today: Polymodality of Mind, Intersemioticity of Text, Polylogue of Cultures» aimed at developing the theoretical and methodological foundations of the linguistics of intermediality as an object of research in the context of interdisciplinary studies of the artistic text. The project was also focused on the creation, approbation and verification of a meta-method of intermedial analysis of modern English- and French-language multi-genre artistic texts in intersemiotic, multimodal, linguistic-cognitive, semiotic-narrative and multicultural aspects, taking into account the factors of the language and text game. The research views intermediality of artistic forms functioning in contemporary English- and French-language literary discourse as interaction of techniques and means from different kinds of art in their creation.
