The project's overall goal is to develop a framework to provide a risk assessment of environmental disturbance and subsequent responses to socio-economic and climate change threats based on multisource and multiscale Earth observation (EO) data.
A set of indicators of environmental disturbance, in particular, indicators of forest disturbance, fire danger in natural and semi-natural landscapes, as well as soil degradation, are defined in the research. The requirements for the EO data involved in the environmental disturbance risk assessment are described. The theoretical justification of the assessment of such risks based on the disturbance based on multisource and multiscale EO data is presented.
