At the same time, the nature of the interaction between the components of composite materials is complicated, which in some cases can lead to the appearance of specific, not characteristic for building materials, properties that significantly expand the possibilities of their application during the operation of structures and buildings based on them. In this study, a thorough analysis of existing composite materials was carried out, their classification by purpose, properties, etc. was given, their main characteristic properties were established, and the fields of application in construction were shown. The object of research is the processes of interaction between the components of composite materials and the formation of operational and technological properties.
