According to the 1st stage of the work, silver-containing nanocomposites pectin–Ag–chitosan of low, medium, and high molecular weight, Na-CMC–Ag–chitosan of low, medium, and high molecular weight were synthesized by reducing silver ions in polyelectrolyte-metal complexes using ultraviolet irradiation different wavelengths (λ = 254 nm and 365 nm) and by sputtering silver nanoparticles on the surface of polyelectrolyte complexes. The peculiarities of the structural organization, thermomechanical properties were studied, and the antimicrobial, antiviral and cytotoxic effects of the obtained samples were determined.
