The object of research: the process of obtaining high-temperature hydrogen-containing gas by pyrolysis of hydrocarbon gases in an electrothermal fluidized bed. During the implementation of the project, a method of obtaining hydrogen-containing gas in an electrothermal fluidized bed was developed for the purpose of generating electricity, and prospects for application in special metallurgy were determined. The amount of hydrogen formed during the process of pyrolysis of natural gas in an electrothermal fluidized bed (ELFB) was determined. The total heat of combustion of the formed high-temperature hydrogen-containing gas in the reactor with ETFB was determined. The dependence of the amount of carbon dioxide formed on the temperature of the pyrolysis process was determined. One of the promising areas of application of high-temperature hydrogen produced in the ETFB is the recovery of iron ore pellets. Optimal calculated temperatures for this process: 900 ... 1300 K. The reactor with ETFB with a combined method of heating by dividing the reactor into two zones during methane pyrolysis has been improved.
