Yatsenko, V. Pakharenko, O. Slyzhuk), which is implemented in educational practice; it was found out according to the results of the experimental methodology according to the test results that the educational material and methodical apparatus of the textbook is optimal - 94.9% for achieving educational results; the content of the textbook presents the writer as a person - 92.3%; and the work of art as an aesthetic phenomenon – 100%; the content and structure of the textbook contributes to the formation of the subject and key competencies of students - 98.7%; the textbook is interesting, informative and accessible to students - 96.2%; the methodical significance of the developed system of questions and tasks for working on the text of an artistic work, oriented towards the achievement of mandatory learning outcomes, correlated with the interpretation of the essence of students' reading literacy skills, was proven, namely: skills directly related to working with the text, based on one's own reflections on what has been read; the ability to understand the content and form of the text, to apply the information obtained from the text for practical problem solving, to identify the connection of what was read with modernity; the didactic-methodical potential of the textbook, built on the basis of person-oriented, competence-based, activity-oriented, cultural approaches, reader-centered and text-centered principles regarding the productive implementation of experimental methods, was confirmed, namely: increasing the reading interest of teenage students in reading works of Ukrainian literature, in particular modern.
