 It was established that the most effective method for cleaning staphylococcal bacteriophages from bacterial cells is the use of multi-stage filtration, compared to heat treatment and the use of chloroform. All studied phages Phage SAvB07, Phage SAvB08, Phage SAvB12 and Phage SAvB14 were found to be sensitive to changes in the pH of the environment. The maximum replication of phages occurs at pH values рН of 6–7 units. It was found that among the bacteriophages we studied, the best lytic effect against cultures of S. aureus var. bovis exhibits Phage SAvB14 with a short latent period. The results of thermal stability studies showed that the phage SAvB14 bacteriophage partially loses its activity in the temperature range of 45–65 °C, which is an important factor in the technological features of phage drug production. The most optimal temperature for storing Phage SAvB14 is 4–8 °С. Phage SAvB14 is more resistant to the effects of high temperatures (45–65 ºС) and pH fluctuations, compared to other investigated phages, and therefore is better for creating a drug against staphylococcal mastitis of cows.
