In particular, it was confirmed that it is possible to ensure the applied orientation of computer science education by increasing the number of practical-oriented content tasks in the school computer science course, by solving real-life problems in lessons, the solution of which requires the construction of an information model and the use of information technology tools to solve them. An experimental verification of the effectiveness of the use of the proposed content, organizational forms, methods, techniques and means of implementing the applied orientation of computer science education was carried out. It has been established that the use of new practice-oriented methods and technologies for teaching informatics in gymnasium contribute to the improvement of students' educational achievements, strengthen their creativity and critical thinking, help teachers organize high-quality distance learning of informatics (and other school subjects), psychological support of students and ensure the conformity of results training in modern social and educational demands caused, in particular, by the Russian-Ukrainian war. At the same time, the role of practical-oriented IT training in the economy, construction, management, and social processes is growing, which is extremely important in wartime and during the period of state reconstruction.
