The research object is nanomodified fluoroplastic coatings with high adhesion to the metal surface and increased wear resistance of the outer layer.
The work aims to create a priming layer with high adhesion to the surface and develop the electrodeposition application of nanomodified fluoroplastic coatings based on F-30P fluoropolymer with increased wear resistance and study their properties.
Research methods - the study of adhesion and resistance to scratching damage of nanomodified fluoroplastic coatings was performed according to ASTM D 2197, "Method for determining adhesion of organic coatings by scraping," using the NOVOTEST Ц1-M device. Research on the abrasion of fluoroplastic coatings was carried out using the device for testing materials for resistance to abrasion DIT-M 00.000 PS.
It was established that it is necessary to create a primer layer to increase the adhesion of the fluoroplastic coating to the metal surface, which includes adhesion promoters: graphite C-1 - 25 wt.%, highly dispersed aminoorganosilica based on aerosol - 3 wt. %.
Studies on abrasion resistance of the developed fluoroplastic coatings showed that when the outer layer of a three-layer fluoroplastic coating based on F-30P was added to the composition, 17 wt. % graphite C-1 + 1 wt. % aminoorganosilica based on Aerosil + 2 wt. % ZrО2 +3 % Y2 O3 (500) °C or 2 wt. % ZrО2 +3 % Y2O3 (700 °C) or 2 wt. % of amorphous zirconium hydroxide doped with yttrium ions (the amount of yttrium in terms of oxides is 3 mol %): Zr(Y)O(OH)2 the abrasion resistance of the coating increases by 1.38, 1.57 and 1.83 times, respectively.
The technology of electrostatic application of a nanomodified fluoroplastic coating on a metal surface has been developed: the first primer layer must be applied at an electrostatic field strength of 50 kV, and for subsequent layers, the strength should be increased to 60–70 kV
