The purpose of the work: to study the incidence of alimentary genesis of the population liv-ing in the territories radioactively contaminated as a result of the Chernobyl accident and near thermal power plants. Research methods: theoretical analysis of scientific literature; medical and statistical expert assessment. An analysis of 602 diets, including 348 food rations of men of different labour intensity groups and 254 food rations of women, respectively, living in territories radioactively contami-nated as a result of the Chernobyl accident. An algorithm for determining the correlation between the essential ingredients of food on the example of alimentary iodine and the sources of micronutrient with the daily diet of the working-age population (depending on the intensity of labour) has been developed. It was established that the value of the Pearson correlation coefficient in men of the I, II and III groups of labour intensity was: + 0.035975; + 0.034821, and + 0.037872, which indicates the absence of a connection between the food composition of the diet and the possibility of providing the human body with alimentary iodine. The content of alimentary iodine of the daily diet of men of the IV group of labour intensity theoretically satisfies physiological needs. The value of the Pearson correlation coefficient in women of I, II and III labour intensity groups was: +0.007648 (low but positive relationship between iodine content and the products themselves), +0.037247 (low correlation, or lack thereof) and +0.018282 (positive correlation).
