Objective: to investigate the structural and morpho-functional changes in the test systems of malignant (line A-549) and normal (fibroblasts) human cells when combining X-ray radiation with the gadolinium-containing photon-capturing agent "Dotavist" and red light with the photosensitizer "Fotolon". Research methods: method of transplanted culture of cells of normal human fibroblasts and malignant human cells, methods of irradiation with X-rays, red light, cytological, statistical. The influence of two binary radiation technologies separately and in combination was investigated in a comparative aspect, and the peculiarities of the effect on malignant and normal cells were determined based on morphofunctional characteristics (growth kinetics, proliferative and mitotic activity). The obtained results essentially form the basis of the preclinical stage of evaluating the effectiveness of drugs used in binary technologies, in particular "Dotavist" in the case of the photon capture method and "Photolon" for photodynamic therapy.
