The objects of the study are unknown or little-studied documents, materials and exhibits from the funds of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, from archives and libraries. All the documents and materials demonstrate us historical events, which took place in Ukraine in the 20th century.
The aim of the work is identification, study, analysis, and systematisation of the new sources from the modern history of Ukraine; introduction to the scientific circulation new scientific information about the period. Scientific processing of the funds of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, archives and libraries with the aim of indentifying and processing new materials about the events of the 20th century in Ukraine and their publication.
The methods of the research are general scientific: analysis, synthesis, generalization, historical, logical, and also special historical: comparative and historical, problematic and chronoligical, structural and comparative, and others.
