The object of the study is the hydrological regime of rivers of different geographical zones of the territory of Ukraine (maximum, minimum, annual flow), hydrochemical regime of rivers and reservoirs of the Danube region.
The purpose of the work is to improve the theoretical basis and substantiate the parameters of calculation methods based on regional scientific research in the field of hydrological calculations and forecasts of the water regime and hydrochemical regime of rivers and reservoirs of Ukraine.
Research methods - methods of a complex geographical approach to the analysis of the conditions of formation of river flow and the hydrochemical regime of rivers: theoretical analysis of hydrological processes and phenomena; statistical processing of hydrological characteristics; geographical generalization of hydrometeorological values; discriminant analysis when determining the water type of spring flood; numerical methods for determining non-measurable quantities; method of water-salt balance of lakes.
The obtained results and their novelty - regional research was carried out in the form of improving scientific methods of hydrological calculations and forecasts of the water regime of rivers in different geographical zones of Ukraine, modeling the water-salt regime of reservoirs and assessing the water quality of rivers in the Danube region.
