All polymorphic variants COL1A1rs1800012, COL2A1rs2276454, COL2A1rs1793953, COL9A1rs1135056, COL11A1rs16764862, VDR 7022 were detected in the study group and the comparison group. . Differences in the frequency of risk alleles of collagen gene and vitamin D receptor gene polymorphisms were revealed depending on the location of the affected intervertebral discs. Statistically significant associations of degenerative lesions of intervertebral discs and genetic variants COL1A1rs1800012, COL2A1rs2276454, COL9A1rs1135056, COL11A1rs1676486, VDR rs2228570 were revealed. The highest percentage of risk alleles of polymorphisms of all studied genes was observed in patients with degeneration of the intervertebral discs of the cervical spine and L5-S1.
