 The subject of the study is the specifics of the conceptual provisions of the NUS reform, taking into account the implementation of new approaches to education in basic secondary school, since the new Standard of Basic Education has been implemented (September 1, 2022). The purpose is to analyze the continuity and difference of the conceptual provisions of NUS in primary and basic secondary school; develop methods of collecting statistical data on the characteristics of the organization of educational activities in basic secondary school; develop a list of educational indicators to identify teachers' needs for NUS reform. Thus, a list of indicators was formed to measure the implementation of the conceptual provisions of NUS in the following areas: «teacher qualification», «teacher education», «age structure of teachers», «gender composition of teachers», «number of pupils per teacher», «class filling (size)».
