 The object of the study is the street and road network, relevant regulatory and technical documentation. The purpose of the work is to develop methodological recommendations during the study of VDM during the execution of forensic construction and technical examinations and construction and technical studies. The purpose of the study is to regulate and provide scientific and methodological support for forensic expert activity during the conduct of forensic construction and technical examinations and construction and technical studies of the VDM. Research methods and equipment - the following scientific methods were used in the research process: collection, comparison, synthesis and analysis of the theoretical, methodological and legal foundations of forensic construction expertise on the issues of VDM research. Provisions of normative acts regarding the assignment of highways to VDM have been systematized. The belongingness of various objects and networks to the VDM and the stage of development of design documentation, determination of design stages, the need to conduct an examination of design documentation, at the construction stage - obtaining the necessary permits, acceptance of completed construction objects into operation.
