The object of the study is 225 patients with recurrent depression, who sought help at the Department of Internal Medicine of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and 46 people from the general population, without mental disorders. The purpose of the research is to determine the influence of hereditary and social stress factors in the genesis of the formation and development of recurrent depressive disorders. Research methods - clinical-psychopathological, genealogical, determination of pharmacogenetic markers, psychometric - MADRS scale, psychodiagnostics (modified version of the "Antivitality and Vitality" method; multi-level personality questionnaire "Adaptability"; test for stress resistance, diagnostic method of socio-psychological adaptation by K. Rogers - R. Diamond and methods of mathematical statistics. The results of the NDR made it possible to reveal the peculiarities of the influence of socio-demographic, environmental and genealogical factors and factors of mental trauma on the clinical characteristics and course of recurrent depression depending on the severity of the depressive episode. Identified clinical-psychopathological signs, heredity and features of pharmacogenetic factors in patients with recurrent depression, as well as identifying individual psychological factors allowed to prove their role in the genesis and formation mechanisms of the course of recurrent depressions of different severity. Based on the identified features, a complex system of therapy has been developed.
