New composite materials based on borides, carbides and silicides and their solid solutions have been developed. They have an increased set of properties compared to existing materials. A high level of characteristics is achieved due to the purposeful formation of solid solutions in composite materials, as well as due to high grain connectivity and a high concentration of defects (twins, dislocations, packing defects) by means of sintering under high and moderate pressures. The materials are promising as impact-resistant and wear-resistant at high operating temperatures.
